ZIO Patch
The ZIO® Patch represents a novel wearable patch utilized for ambulatory cardiac monitoring. In contrast to conventional Holter monitors, the ZIO Patch distinguishes itself by its absence of leads, wires, and batteries. Weighing only a few ounces, this peel-and-stick device is comfortably worn for an extended monitoring period of up to 14 days. Surprisingly, despite the longer duration of use compared to a Holter monitor, nearly 80% of patients reportedly prefer the ZIO Patch over the traditional 24-hour Holter monitor.
